Union Bank of India Local Bank Officer(LBO)Eligibility Criteria 2024 :

Application can be made only for any one of the States as per identified vacancies in this Notification and the applicants intending to apply should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria specified herein below before applying including proficiency in the specified language of the State as per the table of vacancies given above. Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying for the post. Candidates must necessarily produce the relevant documents in original and a photocopy in support of their identity and eligibility pertaining to category, nationality, age, educational qualifications, experience certificates, etc. as indicated in the online application form at the time of interview and any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by the Bank. However, merely applying for / appearing for and/or qualifying at any stage of the selection process for the post/s does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be eligible for employment / confer right
on him/her for appointment in the Bank. Please note that no change of Category/State applied for will be permitted at any stage after registration of the online application and the result will be processed considering the category which has been indicated in the online application, subject to guidelines of the Government of India/Bank in this regard. No request for considering the candidature under any category other than the one in which one has applied will be entertained.

  • * The Cut-off Date for the purpose of eligibility in Age criteria shall be the 1st day of the month in which online registration commences i.e. 01.10.2024.
    * The Cut-off date for the purpose of eligibility in respect of Educational Qualification shall be the last date for online registration as notified i.e. 13.11.2024. The date of passing the examination, which is reckoned for eligibility under the parameter of educational
    qualification, will be the date appearing on the mark sheet/passing certificate, whichever is earlier. The applicants should indicate the percentage calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online applications. Where CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average)/ SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average)/ OGPA (Overall Grade Point Average) are awarded, the same should be converted into a percentage and indicated in the online application.
    * Candidates belonging to the OBC category but coming under the creamy layer and/or if their caste does not find a place in the Central List are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General in the online application form.

Union Bank Of India Local Bank Officer(LBO) Penalty For Wrong Answer:

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

The candidate must have Proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) in the Local Language of the State applied for. Candidates shortlisted in the Online Examination will be required to qualify Language Proficiency test, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for a Personal Interview and thus their candidature will not be considered for further selection process. However, candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified local language of the applied State as one of the subjects will not be required to undergo the language proficiency test.
Personal Interview (PI) Merit list of candidates based on the marks obtained by them in the Online Examination will be prepared in descending order for the respective categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/General. Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for the Online Examination and ranking sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for a Personal Interview.
Mere passing in the online test shall not vest any right to a candidate to be called for a Personal Interview. In case of equal marks by two or more candidates, the merit order of such group of candidates will be on the basis of Date of Birth i.e. candidates senior in age will be placed higher in the merit list. For the interview, the candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:3 as against the number of vacancies. However, the Bank may modify the said ratio at its discretion. The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates). The applicants not secure the minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview will be disqualified for selection. Interview
scores of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed. The weightage (ratio) of the Online Exam and Interview will be in the ratio of 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at based on scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Examination and Interview.

(i) Candidates are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.unionbankofindia.co.in and click on the ‘Recruitments’ Page to
open the Career Overview Page, ‘Click to View the Current Recruitment’ to open the link “Recruitment of Local Bank Officer
(2025-26)” Then, click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE” to open the On-Line Application Form.
(ii) To register the application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter your Name, Contact details, and Email. A
The system will generate the provisional registration number and password and display them on the screen. The candidate should note the provisional registration number and password an Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and password will also be sent.
(iii) In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/she can save the data already entered by
