Realme GT 8 Pro with Ricoh camera confirmed for global launch in November

The world’s first flagship smartphone featuring a Ricoh GR camera system could soon reach more markets, as Realme has confirmed a global launch in November. Following its debut in China last week, a teaser site now officially lists the Realme GT 8 Pro for international release, starting with India. While Realme has not yet detailed additional regions, the rollout is expected to expand, similar to the GT 7 Pro launch strategy.

The Realme GT 8 Pro starts at around $560 in China, though prices will likely be higher in Europe and other regions. One standout feature is the customizable camera module cover, which can switch from a round to a square design in just a few steps. The phone’s camera setup includes a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor (1/1.56-inch), a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide, and a 200MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto lens (1/1.56-inch) offering 3x optical zoom.

Developed with input from Ricoh’s camera specialists, the GT 8 Pro’s imaging experience includes a minimalist GR-style camera app and Snap Focus, allowing users to preset focus distances for reduced shutter lag—mirroring Ricoh’s renowned street photography tools.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with a massive 7,000mAh battery supporting 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The display is a 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 3136 × 1440 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an astonishing 7,000 nits of peak HDR brightness—firmly establishing the GT 8 Pro as a top-tier flagship contender.
